Altrincham Hospital
The history of the facility dates back to the Lloyds Fever Hospital, which was founded on Market Street in 1853. It underwent a complete reconstruction and reopened in 1870 as the Altrincham Provident Dispensary and Hospital. In 1948, it became part of the National Health Service. Following the relocation of services to a modern community hospital on Railway Street, Altrincham General Hospital officially closed its doors in April 2015. The Market Street site was later transformed into a health and wellbeing center, along with a new location for Altrincham Library.
