Yesterday’s Nightclub

In the 1990s, Yesterday's Night Club in Alderley Edge was a premier destination in Cheshire, drawing in football stars and television personalities. Acquired by Absolute Leisure, it transformed in March 2000 into the region's first lap dancing venue, introducing a popular weekday event known as the Purple Door. The club later rebranded as Lizard but ultimately closed its doors in 2004. Although there were ambitions to convert the site into luxury housing, those plans fell through. A developer from Northern Ireland, Benmore Group, proposed a project to renovate the old Yesterday's Night Club into a 68-room hotel, complete with a bistro and spa on the ground floor. However, this proposal was withdrawn just as it was set to be reviewed by the local council.
